While browsing at the supermarket on Sunday, something stopped me in my tracks. 

Port wine ice cream?  There was a signage above the ice cream fridge saying you had to be at least 18 years old to purchase this ice cream. 

Totally intrigued...i had to take a closer look.  They had a total of three different flavour.  I can only remember two.  Port wine and a zinfandel.  

Decided to go with the port, just cos I am already a fan of port.  This ice cream was so smooth and creamy! One of the best ice creams I have had.  Ever!  Beats the big names like B&J hands down.  



It was not just smooth and creamy, it wasn't too sweet.  The port flavour was not overpowering.  Very well balanced.  It does melt pretty fast, but I am guessing that is because alcohol doesn't freeze.  

Topped with some fresh berries, this was a great dessert on a Sunday evening. 

Purchased at Carrefour, Plaza Singapura.  Now I just need to go get more.
