Ok i have to start on the highlight of our trip to Bali.  Cicada Townhouse.  This place is amazing.  It puts even Racha, Phuket to shame!  The standard of the villa and the service, was out of this world.

Lets start with the villa itself.  We got a 3 bedroom villa which comes with your own private pool.  The pool is a decent size.  Enough for you to soak and relax.  It is partially shaded, so if you don't want a tan, this pool is great.  If you want a tan, just a few steps away is the main pool.

The main pool is pretty much Olympic size.  There are tanning chairs for you to relax on.  A tan at the main pool is a sure thing.

Ok now to the bedrooms.   All 3 bedrooms come with your own bathroom.  Each bathroom has  a  huge bathtub and separate shower area.  The fixtures are excellent.  No complaints!

All 3 bedrooms have a king size bed....the beds are extremely comfy...we all had a great sleep.  Lets not discount the great pillows, the height was just perfect.

The master bedroom comes with a walkin closet and a private balcony.  Can I just say that the master BATHROOM is at least twice the size of my master BEDROOM!!!!

Our villa came with a personal 24 hr butler which is great.  He made sure the beds were made after each one of our many naps.  The beds were turned down in the evening when we are out for dinner.

The level of attentiveness of the staff there is top notch.  Whatever you wanted/needed, it was done before you actually needed to request for it.  On the second night, we realised that the big water cooler was running low on water.  (It is one of those huge office water cooler sort.  the ones with the huge clear bottle at the top)

We were going to ask our butler to replace the bottle after we return from our dinner.  But when we came back after dinner, he had already done it!

Food was cheap and good.  We were too tired on the first night to venture out of the villa, so we ordered room service.  The meal was brought to our villa.  I ordered a ribeye steak.  It was good and it was cheap.  SG$13!  It was a very decent size.

Breakfast was included in our deal.  Oh man...the breakfast is just RIDICULOUS!!  You can have either asian or western.

Asian, you have nasi goreng, mee goreng or porridge

Western: 4 choices of eggs.  Fried, scrambled, poached, omelet with ham and tomato
4 pieces of bacon, 4 sausages, mushrooms, roasted tomato
Fruit plate (watermelon, honeydew, pineapple, papaya)
                Juice (orange, pineapple, watermelon)
Bread basket (honestly one was enough for all four!  but you can have one each)
French press Illy coffee, Twinning Tea, hot chocolate

There were other stuff you could choose from.

If I ever do go back to Bali, this is the place I will want to stay.  The villa was very central....walking distance to the beach...to good eateries...good spas....with a small minimart near by.

Lower level of La Luciola

Pretty roof

La Luciola is suppose to be one of the better restaurants in the Seminyak area.  Being a huge fan of Italian food, we decided to give the place a shot.

The restaurant is beach front, which is fantastic.  We arrived after sunset so we missed out on checking out the sunset in Seminyak.

Here's what we ordered:

4 mojito, 3 starters to share, a different main course each so we could have a variety, 2 tiramisu to share.

The verdict.... it was good but not out of this world.  We can get better in Singapore in my honest opinion.  Of course it is cheaper than Singapore.  Total bill was about SG$50 each.  there abouts.

Kafe Warisan is amazing!!!  You must visit this place if you visit Bali, Seminyak.  Chef Nicolas Tourneville, former chef to the French Ambassador to Algeria then Indonesia, whips up some really good dishes!

Pricing wise, it is pretty much Singapore prices....but hey we had some really fancy aka expensive stuff.  So for SG$70 each...I thought it was worth it.

We saved this place for our final dinner in Bali, just to cap off a great holiday.  Saving it to last def was the right thing to do....if we had gone to Kafe Warisan the night before then to La Luciola, we would have been disappointed with La Luciola

Fong ankle deep in water

When we got to the restaurant, it was raining cats and dogs...the rain was so heavy....the entrance to the restaurant was flooded!  Thankfully, we had a table on the second level so we were spared the commotion happening downstairs where the staff was busy trying to unclog the drains outside.

Here's what we had:
